Educational Center in Minsk promotes EU studies in schools throughout Belarus

Minsk-based NGO Education Center "Post"  is actively working to promote the theme of the EU system of formal and informal education in Belarus since 2007. In this topic we have conducted seminars for school teachers, university professors, representatives of public organizations, as well as published a number of publication on EU studies.

Our publications include: Book "Unity in diversity. About the European Union, in school," CD "Unity in Diversity: The European Union (history, values, mechanisms and prospects for development)," a set of cards "Countries in the European Union," the book "Our neighbor EU: manual for teachers of educational institutions".

In our programs and publications we are trying to help answer the questions: Why do we (Belarus) need to  work in this direction? And how to organize this work within the teaching and educational process?

By our actions, we try to stimulate the activity of teachers to work in this direction in the educational process. We do not promote a particular form of work, such as a school European club, since in our case it is not easy. But on the basis of our organization for six months there operates the European Teachers' Club. It consists of 20-25 active teachers from different regions of Belarus. In fact, around each of the members of the club there is its own community of students and teachers, working on the topic of the EU.
